The Grave (Dấu Huyền) is the mirror counterpart to the Acute. It represents the falling tone (thanh huyền).
Visual Harmony: Because they appear frequently in Vietnamese text, often side-by-side or in close proximity, the Grave must optically balance the Acute.
Placement: While the Acute leans slightly right, the Grave leans slightly left. It should not extend beyond the width of the base glyph to avoid colliding with adjacent letters.
Drag the Grave mark to balance the letter. It should sit comfortably above the x-height, slightly to the left of the center.
You have completed the basic tone marks.
